Man Shot on Venice Boardwalk; 5 Suspects Sought

VENICE, CA — A man was shot and wounded on the Venice boardwalk Friday evening.

The shooting was reported at 9:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Ocean Front Walk, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

The shooting occurred during a fireworks show, CBS2 reported.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Herrera said.

Five male suspects were being sought in the shooting, she added.
