Coronavirus: Steady Increase In Contra Costa County Cases
More than 100 new cases have been reported since last week.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY — The number of coronavirus cases in Contra Costa County continues to climb. Contra Costa Health Services reported in its daily briefing Friday that 147 cases have been confirmed. There were no new deaths attributed to COVID-19, leaving the death toll at one.
As of the noon hour on Friday, the U.S. has reported more than 1,300 deaths and more than 97,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
In other developments, the county is expanding the number of hospital beds available by using Pittsburg Health Center and Alhambra High School as "alternate care sites."
