Inspired by coyotes, Mill Valley residents are howling nightly in support of health care workers and first responders battling the new coronavirus. The tribute takes place every night around 8 p.m.

In a YouTube video, the entire city seems to be howling in unison. Barking dogs and howling coyotes appear to join in the chorus of howls and shouts.
"Our sweet city ... howls for all those health care providers letting them know we are here for them," Brian Smith wrote on Twitter. "Can even hear the coyotes."

"Last night was the best ever," resident Nan Paget told the San Francisco Chronicle. "Someone added a saxophone solo."
"The Mill Valley 8 p.m. howl is the only thing getting me through this rough time," Jessie Scarsella wrote on Twitter.
