The Countdown Begins: When Massés Will Serve The Last Round
No matter who wins the Big Game, Feb. 8 will make the end of an era for Massés Walnut Creek sports fans.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — Massés has been a hub for wings, nachos, karaoke, and nail-biting football games for decades.
But when the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots meet Feb. 8, in a rematch of one of the great NFL championship games, the day will be a bittersweet one.
At the end of the night, when all the glasses are washed, floors swept, and customers safely out the door, Massés Sports Bar & Grill, a North Main Street staple for more than three decades, will close.

Feb. 8 is the last day for the cherished bar that has been on North Main Street for more than 30 years. "The news, we never wanted- but here we are & we’re not going away," the owners wrote earlier this year.
Opened in 1994 by Maury and Christine Paden, Massés has been a hub for loyal patrons and countless memorable matchups—including Super Bowl rematches on TV screens.

The Paden siblings, however, assure fans that this farewell is only temporary: they plan to reopen Massés in a new Walnut Creek location.
Massés will begin taking reservations for the final Sunday beginning Feb. 2.
