Eyewitness Helps Catch East Bay Auto Burglars
The sharp-eyed witness gave police a good description, aiding their search for the suspects.

LAMORINDA, CA — Two people were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a vehicle in a parking lot at the Rheem Valley Shopping Center in Moraga. An eyewitness gave police a description that led to the arrests.
Last Wednesday, April 4, the witness called police to report that a suspect had broken a window, reached into the vehicle and removed property. The person ran to a waiting vehicle that drove toward Orinda. The eyewitness provided the dispatcher with a good description which was immediately broadcast.
An Orinda Police officer spotted the car on Moraga Way and stopped it near Northwood. Both people in the car were arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Jail.

All of the stolen items were recovered.
