Input Needed for the Walnut Creek Village_Helping Seniors Age Better

Aging is a topic that is front and center of many people's minds. Efforts are being organized to ensure that people will continue to have the quality of life as they age. The grassroots Village Movement for seniors and by seniors began more than 20 years ago with the first village launched in Boston in 2002.

In Walnut Creek, the population of people 65 and older is close to 30%. The Lamorinda Village and the Clayton Valley Village are some of the active villages around us. In California, there are close to 50 villages and many more are in the process of being developed, including the Walnut Creek Village, with the support of Village Movement California.

The Village to Village Network is leading the charge nationwide, fostering independence and connection for seniors in their own homes and neighborhoods. There are over 300 villages nationwide in the U.S.

Join us as we embark on an exciting journey to establish a vibrant community for older adults right here in Walnut Creek!
