Walnut Creek’s Gas Leaf Blower Ban Begins April 1

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Neighborhoods across Walnut Creek may sound noticeably different this spring.

Beginning April 1, 2026, the city will prohibit the use of gas-powered leaf blowers as part of a broader effort to reduce noise pollution and improve local air quality. Walnut Creek joins more than 100 California cities that have implemented similar restrictions.
