WCPD: A Window-Smash Auto Burglary

April 9
Surgical mess. At 7 a.m. Walnut Creek police received a report that a bag of surgical gloves and syringes was spread all over Margarido Drive. A city crew came to clean up.

Window-smash SUV burglary. Sometime between 7:15 p.m. and 8: 25 p.m., a window was smashed in an SUV. A MacBook Pro laptop with a shoulder bag was stolen in the 1900 block of North Main Street.

April 10
Auto theft arrest. From a report at 5:19 a.m. on the 2700 block of North Main Street, officers arrested a 22-year-old woman on charges of auto theft and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Unlocked bike stolen. A black Trek mountain bike, unlocked, was reported stolen from in front of Target, North Main Street, between 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Found wallet. A city worker found a wallet in Civic Park in the morning and turned it in to WCPD.

Not beer. At 4:45 p.m., police receive a complaint about 20 people drinking beer in the parking lot of Larkey Market on Larkey Lane. When officers arrived, they determined the subjects who remained were drinking non-alcoholic beverages.
