$3,000 Rebate For Watsonville Residents
Register by Feb. 27 for the Brace + Bolt program, to retrofit your home's foundation for earthquakes.

WATSONVILLE, CA — If your home was built before 1979 it is probably eligible for the Earthquake Brace + Bolt program. The program awards up to $3,000 to homeowners to pay for the costs of retrofitting their homes to withstand a major earthquake.
Specifically, eligible homes "aren’t bolted to their foundations, are built atop a crawl space and have unbraced 'cripple walls' surrounding that crawl space." Typically, it takes one to three days to retrofit a home at a cost of $3,000 - $7,000. The entire cost of the retrofit could conceivably be covered by the rebate.
You must live in zip codes 95076 to qualify.
