Clara Fletcher, 104, Celebrates Birthday In Watsonville

WATSONVILLE, CA — On July 28, 1914, Woodrow Wilson was the President of the United States, the First World War was brewing and two pennies covered the cost of a postage stamp. It was also the day Watsonville resident Clara Fletcher was born in California.

Fletcher celebrated her 104th birthday at the Watsonville Nursing Center on Saturday, according to a report in the Register Pajaronian. The centenarian, who was born in Soledad, has lived in Watsonville since 1938. Read the full story here.
