WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville Police Department is ramping up its efforts to find intoxicated drivers from Dec. 13 until the New Year, with extra patrolling officers, and a checkpoint to identify people driving under the influence and without a driver's license. The checkpoint will be held at an undisclosed location on Saturday, Dec. 21 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Extra officers will be roving during the duration of the DUI enforcement period.
