Earthquake Felt In Santa Cruz County
The earthquake was reported near Pinnacles National Park at 7:54 a.m. Thursday is the 30-year anniversary of the infamous Loma Prieta quake.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A 3.7-magnitude earthquake was felt in Santa Cruz County Thursday morning, after primarily hitting the area around Pinnacles State Park, 15 miles north of Soledad.
The quake began at 7:54 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.
Thursday's quake occurred on the 30th anniversary of the infamous Loma Prieta earthquake, a 6.9-magnitude disaster that caused fatalities and destruction around the Bay Area.
