Gang Members Arrested After Traffic Stop, Police Say

Two young gang members were arrested Tuesday night in Watsonville during a routine traffic stop, police said.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Two gang members were arrested after a traffic stop late Tuesday night, one of whom was carrying a loaded gun, the Watsonville Police Department said. Officers stopped the car near Airport Boulevard and Larkin Valley Road.

Alexis Perez, 18, was found carrying the gun and was arrested on suspicion of gun charges, including charges related to carrying a concealed weapon or firearm, police said. Enrique Cardona, 19, was arrested on suspicion of violating parole, police said.
