Grab and Go Kids Planner: Teens, Moms and Music

Where/When: Ramsey Park, Sunday, May 8

Why Go: This run is to raise funds for the Pajaro Valley Shelter. Sponsor a runner or run yourself. There's a 10K run and a 5K run-walk as awell as a 1K fun-run for the kdis.  Don't miss it and do support this race. What a way to celebrate Mother's Day by doing something that will help otehr motehrs out.

Where/When: , 30 Maple Ave. Wednesday, 1-4 p.m.

Why Go: This is a free course for teens that introduces them to the world of video. Those who attend this one afternoon class will learn camera basics, the first steps of what to do to make a video. Cameras are provided. This class is for young people between the ages of 12 and 22.

Where/When: 30 Maple Ave.(GHWR Youth Center) Wednesday, 3:30-6 p.m.

Why Go:  The YWCA of Watsonville is working with the City and various other community programs with the aim of preventing teen pregenancy.  The event is open to all teens over the age of 12.  There will be food, games, music and entertainment—all aimed at reaching out to teens so they know how much more they can do with their lives if they don't become teenage parents.

Why Go: The library is encouraging teens to show up at this meeting. The Library Management wants to hear from teens so they can be of better service.  The Teen Advisory Board gives teens the opportunity to participate.  Anyone in grades 6-12 is welcome.

Where/When: , 3050 Hecker Pass Rd, Gilroy, Wednesday, 5:30-8:30 p.m. 

Why Go: We're telling you about this Gilroy event because the Watsonville Community Band is the evening's entertainment.  The Dinner and Concert Under the Stars is a fundraiser for Gilroy's Memoral Day Parade. But on Wednesday night, it will be all about Watsonville when our band starts playing.  Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served.
