KPIG Takes the Show on the Road
Freedom's best-known radio station will be live at the Kuumbwa on Sunday.
Every Sunday is live on KPIG, but this weekend Sleepy John will be broadcasting from the swanky, hip Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz.
The Watsonville-based radio station known for its eclectic mix Americana music will be celebrating the 599th airing of "Please Stand By" with a live audience.
"It's just doing a radio show live but we’re taking it on the road," Sleepy John said. "We’ve never done that."

“We’ve done similar things, but we’ve done them in the parking lot at the radio station," Sleepy John said. "Lots of people came to the parking lot shows."
