Local Administrator Chosen for Leadership Class
Ken Evans of Country Villa will take part in a national program.

A Watsonville convalescent home administrator has been chosen for a prestigious industry leadership program, the only Californian selected for the development class.
The California Association of Health Facilities announced Friday that Ken Evans, administrator of ο»Ώο»Ώ, has been identified as a future leader in long-term care by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.
Evans will participate in the American Health Care Associationβs Future Leaders program, a yearlong effort that offers training and guidance for long-term care professionals.

Evans began his career in long-term care as a certified nursing assistant more than two decades ago and later transitioned into business and management.Β While serving as an administrator in 2006, he was the recipient of the first β24 Karatβ award from Golden Living, the companyβs highest honor for quality care.

The Future Leader symposium, scheduled to take place June 27-29 in Washington, D.C., kicks off a year-long program for long-term care professionals who have demonstrated leadership potential and an aptitude for representing the interests of long-term care providers at the state and national levels. The program covers the latest theories and practical applications in quality management, customer satisfaction, and leadership.
