Mariachi, Wine, Fundraisers and Healthy Snacking
A fundraiser for the archive construction project of the Pajaro Valley Historical Association and another for Relay for Life, tips on healthy snacking (this time for adults!), a wine festival and mariachis in town are our suggestions to Get Out this weeke
Where/When: , 2601 E Lake Ave., Sunday, 1-4 p.m.
Why Go: This is a fundraiser for the new archive construction project of the Pajaro Valley Historical Association. And what will be on hand this weekend will be a real treat: the antique, vintage and classic cars of local car clubs. Many of the automobiles will date back to the time between 1910 and 1940. There will be appetizers and a no-host bar.

Why Go: We mentioned this in our Kids Planner, but this is something we all can benefit from. Would you like to get away from the junk food and get on a different eating track? Get some tips on preparing healthy snacks. You will get the recipes, too, so you can prepare the snacks at home yourself. Pre-registration at the Youth Center is required.

Why Go: We all should turn out to support this Driscoll's event, a fundraiser for Watsonville Relay for Life. Driscoll is sponsoring the talent show and a lot of their employees are taking part. Now you know, it isn't always easy to sing or dance for a crowd, so give them a hand and help Relay for Life with your donation, too.
Pricing: $8 in advance; $10 at Door.
Where/When: , 5000 N. Rodeo Gulch Rd. Soquel; Saturday, Sunday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Windy Oaks Estate Vineyards, 555 Hazel Dell Road, Corrallitos, Saturday only.
Why Go: Poetic Cellars and Windy Oaks are two of the numerous Santa Cruz wineries and restaurants participating in Vintner's Festival 2011. Wines from 46 wineries will be featured at 38 locations. The festival is taking place this weekend and next. This weekend, the fetival will be happening in Santa Cruz County. Link to the map on the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association website for all locations.
Pricing: Tickets are redeemed for a commemorative wine glass to be used at each winery visited. Admission $35 in advance, or $40 at the door.
Where/When: , 1934 Main St., Friday, 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Why Go: If you like Mariachi, go no further than Cilantro's this Friday night. Dance to the sound of Mariachi Imperial and then switch over to s with the selections of DJ Showbiz. He'll mix it up with Latin, Hip-Hop and more.
