Marina Woman Shot Dead Near San Jose State

BREAKING: No arrest made. Police are seeking leads in the death of the 20-year-old.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – A 20-year-old woman who was shot and killed in a home two blocks south of San Jose State University on Monday evening has been identified by police as Myla Thi Dang, of Marina.

The shooting was reported around 5:07 p.m. in the 600 block of South 10th Street when a caller told police he had heard loud bangs coming from inside the home.

Police found Dang suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She died at the scene.

Police have identified a suspect who knew Dang, but no arrests have been made. Detectives have not determined the motive or circumstances around the killing.
