The Parade kicks off in Front of St. Patricks Church promptly at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 4th. Bring your flags, get there early and claim your sidewalk space as over 30,000 line up along Main Street each year to watch this great event.

- Wednesday Night Movies for Teens - July 10th and July 24th from 6-8 p.m. - Come to the library and watch movies with other teens! (See library website for more details – www.cityofwatsonville.org/library)
- July 11th: Natural Beauty from 2-4 p.m. - Learn to make foot and body scrubs, face masques, bath salts, skin and hair nutrients, from items you find in your kitchen or the grocery store! So fun, so easy, so affordable! This program is for teens ages 11-18 (See library website for more details – www.cityofwatsonville.org/library)
- July 18th and July 25th - Smoothie Party! From 2-4 p.m. - Learn to make a variety of smoothie recipes using locally grown fruits and vegetables! Healthy, easy, and delicious! Sign-ups are required. This program is for teens aged 11-18 (See library website for more details – www.cityofwatsonville.org/library)
- Thursdays - July 11th; July 18th and July 25th from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Drop-in Preschool Craft Time
We invite all Pre-schoolers to our drop in craft time. Come and socialize while you make a simple craft.
The 19th annual Strawberry Festival will take place on August 3 and 4 in historic downtown Watsonville. Enjoy games and activities, and visit booths including arts and crafts, local non-profits, face painting and much more. The stage will be rocking with live performances by local and regional bands and performers. The festival will also host the Strawberry Crown Criterium, a bicycle race featuring world-class cyclists, sponsored by Cal Giant. Come out and join us for a weekend of family fun. Admission is free. City Receives Tire Amnesty Grant from Cal-RecycleResidents living in the Watsonville city limits are allowed to bring their tires for free to the Waste & Recycling Drop-off Center located at 320 Harvest Drive. The Yard Waste Collection Program was created to help save space in the City Landfill. The yard waste collected will be recycled and re-used as valuable landscaping material. To be eligible for a yard waste bin you must have a yard that generates trimmings and live within Watsonville City limits.
