WATSONVILLE, CA — A Watsonville man initiated a high-speed pursuit from Watsonville to San Juan Bautista after he ignored a Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputy's commands to pull over, KSBW reported. Alejandro Zalvalza Ruiz, 21, had been speeding.The chase ended on Highway 101 after California Highway Patrol officers deployed a spike strip to disable his car, the station reported.
