Power Outages: 46K Bay Area Customers Lose Service
BREAKING: Some parts of Santa Cruz County still without power.

BAY AREA, CA – PG&E crews this morning are continuing to work to restore power to thousands of Bay Area residents following a Thursday night storm that brought high winds and heavy rain to the area.
As of 5 a.m., 45,940 customers remained without power throughout the Bay Area, PG&E officials said.
The East Bay had the most outages with 39,185, the South Bay 3,400, the North Bay 2,084, the Peninsula 1,265 and three customers remained without power in San Francisco.
The storm also downed trees and power lines throughout the Bay Area.

Residents are advised to never approach downed power lines, as they could be dangerous.

- In the Mission Springs/Scotts Valley area: 70 customers without service and restoration estimated for 3 p.m. Another 51 without power and no time given for restoration.
- Along Highway 152 near Gilroy and Watsonville region: 299 customers without power and no time estimate for restoration.
