Recognize This Yellow Lab? Lost Dog Waiting For Owner

BREAKING: The pup was found Wednesday in the Watsonville area.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA – A yellow Labrador Retriever, found running loose Wednesday in the area of East Lake Avenue and College Road in Watsonville, was taken to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter at 580 Airport Blvd. in Watsonville, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the dog had no tags, and they are hoping to reunite it with its family.

The Watsonville shelter is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays (closed from noon to 1 p.m.) and closed on Sundays.

The Sheriff's Office reminds residents that the Santa Cruz County Code requires dogs and cats older than 4 months to be licensed and microchipped.
