Watsonville High School Students Celebrate Earth Day

Student Crystal Rocha headed the collection of trash as part of her Political Science/Science class project.

Public Works & Utilities’ Conservation Outreach Program staff works with local elementary, middle and high schools to establish recycling programs and other environmental activities at their schools.

As part of Earth Day, April 22, 2015, Watsonville High School students from Satina Ciandro’s class helped make a difference on Earth Day by collecting trash and monitoring how many pieces they saved from flowing into our wetlands, river and ocean.

Bravo and thank you to all the students who participated!
