Watsonville Wreck Sends Driver To Trauma Center

WATSONVILLE, CA — Police in Watsonville are investigating a dramatic injury crash reported in the area of Main Street and Riverside Drive late Friday night. Police said good Samaritans stopped to help one of the drivers, who was seriously injured and later taken to a nearby trauma center. The driver of the other car was not hurt.

Investigators said an SUV ran a red light and struck a pickup truck. Police are trying to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. Police shared video of the aftermath via social media.
