Women’s Commission Seeks Nominations for Trailblazers Awards

From SCCWC: The Santa Cruz County Women’s Commission is seeking nominations for the 2018 Trailblazers Awards, which honors women and girls who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making a significant impact in inspiring, encouraging, and improving the lives of other women and girls.
Nominees should be innovative community leaders contributing to one of the following fields: health care, criminal justice, education, violence against women and girls, economic justice or political participation. Past winners include Cynthia Chase, Carmen Perez, Donna Ziel, Patricia Gorman and The Give & Take Club at Pajaro Valley High School.
Application forms are available on the Commission’s website at http://www.sccwc.org/Trailblazers.aspx. The deadline to nominate a candidate is 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Award Recipients will be notified in January 2018 and honored at a Board of Supervisors
meeting in the spring of 2018.
The Santa Cruz County Women's Commission is a non-partisan, advisory body to the Board of Supervisors that serves to advance the causes of all women, expand and enhance opportunities for women and girls, and advocate for empowerment and equality.
