The suspect attacked the victim with an ax outside of a West Hollywood 7-Eleven and then fled the location.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA –Kisu Bradey Brown, 41, will face a judge today to determine if there's enough evidence to move forward with a trial after allegedly attacking a man with an ax outside of a West Hollywood 7-Eleven. Sheriff's Deputies learned that the suspect was stealing items from the convenience store when the victim offered to pay for them, said Sgt. Jeffrey Bishop of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.

"The suspect became upset, refused the victim's offer and a struggle ensued," Bishop said. "As the victim left the location the suspect pulled out an axe and began to hit him in the head several times," he said. "The suspect fled the location heading northbound on Hayworth Avenue and out of view."

Deputies were dispatched on September 2 to the convenience store at 7950 Santa Monica Blvd., Bishop said. A deputy spotted the suspect in the area of Fountain and Fairfax avenues, where a perimeter was set up and a K9 unit was sent in, said Sgt. Angel Fisher of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.
