Man Dies After Crashing into Construction Crane in West Hollywood

A man died at a hospital after crashing his vehicle into a parked crane today near a construction site in West Hollywood.

The crash occurred about 4:15 a.m. in the 8400 block of Sunset Boulevard, the sheriff’s department reported.

The man, in his 20s, died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.

A section of Sunset Boulevard was closed in the area for several hours while an investigation was conducted.
