• 'Our hearts are in Nepal': Santa Rosa candlelight pays tribute to flood-hit nation, local ties (pressdemocrat.com) — Sonoma County residents, including the mayor of Windsor, joined nearly 200 people in Santa Rosa's Old Courthouse Square for a candlelight vigil honoring victims of Nepal's devastating floods and landslides. Organized by United Nepalese of California, the gathering raised thousands for relief, highlighted the county's sizable Nepalese community, and drew local officials who connected the tragedy to the North Bay's own disaster experiences.
