Burglary at Public Storage Calabasas

Beware - Unsafe Place - Burglary at Public Storage

Burglary at Public Storage in Calabasas.
Residents "BEWARE" of Public Storage. My Husband and I recently rented a storage unit at Public Storage in Calabasas to temporarily store the contents of our home for a remodel. A few days "literally" after we dropped our final boxes, I returned to pick something up. At first it seemed like my key didn't work in the lock and it was like someone had jammed it with glue or something, then I finally got the key in and rolled up the door to find most of the contents "gone" and the remaining items had been ransacked and turned upside down. This unit was literally stacked to the ceiling so someone really had some time to get this done. When I went to the front desk to report the burglary the girl at the front deck rolled her eyes back and said "here we go again", "what"? I called the sheriff to file a police report and was told the unit next door to me was robbed just a week earlier and that he is there all the time taking reports for theft. When the Sheriff asked the girl at the front desk to roll back the tape to the last day I was there (because there was a suspicious man in the hall when I was last there) she said "don't bother, those haven't worked for years". This goes further, when the next officer came to finger print some items, she also told me that place get hit all the time. Well I am devastated and Warren Hughes should be ashamed of himself. I tried calling the corporate office several times and no-one will return my call. It is so apparent that what is going on there is from the inside because it looked like the paint on the outside of my unit was wet, like drywall had been replaced, also the roofing material inside my unit was all torn up. When then rent you a unit, they sell security. Guess what? There is no security. If you look nice or drive a nice car, watch out you will be handing your stuff over to thieves.
