LGBTQ&A Equality Shabbat at Kol Tikvah

Friday, December 9, 2016, at 6:30 pm is a special Shabbat Service filled with music, poetry, and prayer. Featuring speaker, Arya Marvazy.

You're invited to our LGBTQ&A Equality Shabbat service on Friday, December 9, 2016, at 6:30 pm that will focus on unity, equality and inclusion for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Special guest speaker Arya Marvazy, Assistant Director of JQ International, will be discussing, “Being a Gay Persian Jewish Activist.” Arya is a first-generation American, born to Iranian-Jewish parents in the bustling metropolis of Tehrangeles, California. Arya is broadly involved in a variety of community organizations including JDC Entwine, where he serves as the Los Angeles City Co-Chair, and The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, where he is involved as a Kahn Fellow. Led by Rabbi Jon Hanish and Cantor Noa Shaashua, this amazing service is filled with music, poetry, and prayer. Socializing, coffee, and sweet treats to follow.
