• Yorba Linda football to forfeit all victories due to CIF rule violations (nypost.com) — Yorba Linda High's football team must forfeit four early-season wins after CIF-SS ruled that eligibility and recruiting violations occurred, dropping the Mustangs to an 0-5 record just as league play begins. District officials say they've fixed administrative issues so Yorba Linda can keep competing and still chase a CIF-SS playoff berth, but the team now needs a .300 finish against top Orange County programs.
