CO Trooper Joins Lip Synching Challenge With Kelly Clarkson Song

CSP Trooper Joshua Lewis is a Clarkson superfan and it was totes obvi which song he was going to lip synch.

DENVER, CO – The law enforcement "lip synching challenge" is sweeping across the U.S. on social media channels of public safety agencies.

Of course the Colorado State Patrol's Public Affairs spokesman Joshua Lewis had to participate. After all, he posts on social media posing with doughnuts, puppies and tells parents why it's a bad idea to tell kids a passing officer is going to arrest them.

Lewis is a longtime Kelly Clarkson fan, and got plenty of teasing when he found out Clarkson was performing at a free concert in June. After a fan-girling tweet from Lewis, Clarkson responded with an emoji-filled response:

So, when he decided to take the proverbial air-mic, Lewis had to perform Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger," but first talked some smack about other police agencies who weren't "professional" enough.

"I'm very grateful to have the support of the command staff that encourages us to show our human side," Lewis told Patch. "[Law enforcement officers] are human beings with feelings and families that want us to come home." Lewis said he likes to post things on social media that are on the "lighter side, to help people get a break, especially with what's going on in Colorado with all the fires."
