Funeral Procession To Be Held For State Trooper William Modén
The trooper was struck by a vehicle while investigating a crash on I-70.

A memorial service and funeral procession will be held for Colorado State Trooper William Modén Friday morning.
Modén, 37, was hit and killed by a vehicle Friday night while investigating a crash on Interstate 70 near Deer Trail in eastern Colorado.
He was taken to the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver, where he died.

The procession for the fallen trooper will begin at 9 a.m. in the 94000 block of East Hampden Avenue and will travel west on Hampden to Denver First Church, 3800 E. Hampden Ave., in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado State Patrol said.
The memorial service will begin at the church at 11 a.m., but members of the public who wish to attend are asked to arrive at 9:15 a.m.

The I-25 exits to East Hampden will close at 9:20 a.m. for the procession, and beginning at 9:30 a.m., East Hampden will close between I-25 and South University Boulevard. Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., the road south of Dartmouth will close at 9 a.m. along South Havana Street and East Hampden Avenue to Interstate 25.
Those who wish to watch the procession are asked not to park along the route. Those planning to attend the service should park in the north parking lot of the Brave Church at 3651 S. Colorado Blvd., Englewood, southeast of Denver First Church, CSP said.
Firearms and bags will not be allowed in the church, CSP said. The only exception is clear bags. No cell phones or recording devices will be allowed during the service.
Instead of flowers, Modén’s family is asking for donations to The Adoption Exchange at adoptex.org or financial contributions to Colorado State Patrol’s Family Foundation to the Modén Family Fund at cspffdonation.coloradosafedriver.org or 55 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80226.
Cards for can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or mailed to Colorado State Patrol Adams County Office at 8200 U.S. Hwy 85, Commerce City, CO 80022.
