The Byers-Evans House was home to two prominent Denver families and is one of the city’s most historic landmarks. Built in 1883, it has been beautifully restored to the period between 1912 and 1924. Polished wood finishes, brightly patterned wallpapers, ornate mantels, and period draperies form a backdrop for a rich variety of Evans family furnishings. The museum tells the stories of Colorado women, including the influential women who once called the house home. The Byers-Evans House Museum is located at 1310 Bannock Street in Denver and is open 10 am to 4 pm Mondaythrough Saturday and 1 to 4 pm on Sundays.
