Tamara Trujillo Hired As Education Coordinator at El Pueblo History Museum

With Boys and Girls Club experience, she'll run Hands-On History Program and others.

From History Colorado: El Pueblo History Museum is excited to announce the hiring of the new education coordinator, Tamara Trujillo.

Trujillo joins El Pueblo History Museum with decades of experience as a trained facilitator and advocate for youth and families in the Pueblo community. She served youth at both the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County and Pueblo Department of Social Services, where she developed a curriculum and program called Helping Youth Prepare & Train to assist teens in furthering their education and accomplishing their careers goals. Trujillo has been involved with museum programs for the last several years as a coordinator for the Bridging Borders Teen Girl Fellowship. In her new role, she will continue with Bridging Borders and lead educational programming, including the highly successful Hands-On History program.

“Tamara’s experience and enthusiasm are great assets to the museum and her programs will enhance the educational experience for students and the community," said Chief Community Museum Officer Dawn DiPrince. “We are fortunate to have Tamara join our team.”
