Trump Nominates Colorado Judge To Fill Gorsuch Seat

Judge Allison Eid is currently on the state Supreme Court. She once clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas.

President Trump has drawn upon his list of potential Supreme Court nominees to take the place of Neil Gorsuch who he nominated to the high court earlier this year. Colorado Supreme Court Justice Allison Eid was on a list of nominations the president sent to the Senate for consideration on Wednesday.

Eid would take the place of Gorsuch on the 10th Circuit United States Court of Appeals.

If Eid - who is seen as conservative - is confirmed, her replacement would be named by Governor Hickenlooper, a Democrat. (For more information on this and other local stories, subscribe to your local Patch for breaking news alerts.)
