City Of Arvada Extends State Of Emergency, Facilities Closures

ARVADA, CO — The City of Arvada's emergency declaration has been extended through April 6. The city has also extended the closure of all facilities until April 10, officials announced Tuesday.

The emergency declaration requires city council approval every seven days or as soon as a quorum of the council can be assembled.

As the city continues to consult with health officials amid the spread of the new coronavirus, some city services closures have been extended. Many events, classes, activities and meetings have been canceled or postponed.

City Public Meetings Update

  • The March 16 Arvada City Council meeting was canceled. Items slated for the related agenda will be rescheduled for consideration at a future date, officials said.
  • The March 17 Planning Commission meeting was canceled, and its agenda items will also be rescheduled for consideration at a future date.
