Coronavirus Update In Arvada: Latest Cases, Deaths By County

Here's a look at the number of new coronavirus cases in Adams and Jefferson counties.

ARVADA, CO — According to government data published Monday afternoon, there were 693 cases of the new coronavirus in Adams County, and 787 cases in Jefferson County.

Counties with the highest number of COVID-19 cases:

  1. Denver - 1,346 cases
  2. Arapahoe - 1,142 cases
  3. Weld - 808 cases
  4. Jefferson - 787 cases
  5. Adams - 693 cases

Counties with the highest number of deaths:

  1. Weld - 53
  2. Denver - 51
  3. El Paso - 39
  4. Arapahoe - 39
  5. Jefferson - 30
  6. Adams - 26

According to government data posted Monday afternoon, there were 7,691 cases of the new coronavirus in Colorado among 38,742 people who have been tested. There were 1,493 people hospitalized, and 308 deaths were confirmed.

"Our hearts go out to the victims and their families," Gov. Jared Polis said during a news conference Monday afternoon.

State health officials said they believe around 17,000 or 18,000 Coloradans have already had COVID-19, which is .03 to .03 percent of the state's population.

Colorado's stay-at-home order has been extended until April 26 amid the spread of the new coronavirus, Polis announced in a state address April 6. Denver's stay-at-home order has been extended until April 30.
