More City Facilities Set To Reopen In Arvada

ARVADA, CO — The phased reopening of city facilities is continuing in Arvada under public health guidelines amid the spread of the coronavirus. The city is continuing to provide most services remotely, and residents are encouraged to access online or remote services whenever possible, officials said.

The next phase of re-opening includes:

• Limited in-person outdoor programs at Majestic View Nature Center
• Park pavilions are now available to rent through an online reservation system
• In-person dining services at West Woods Golf Club are open, with Lake Arbor’s in-person dining services scheduled to begin Thursday
• Beginning Friday, Arvada City Hall will be open to the public for limited in-person services

Some city services and amenities remain suspended indefinitely:

• Passport services are not available until further notice
• In-person water bill payments have been discontinued
• The status of the Ralston Central Splash Pad and the Olde Town Water Fountain have not yet been determined

Previously re-opened city facilities and amenities include the Municipal Court, the Arvada Police Department’s community stations, golf, skateparks, playgrounds, play courts and the Arvada Reservoir. In-person participation in public meetings and in-person public comment at Arvada City Council meetings is now also allowed, along with physically-distant options.
