Nephew Of Arvada Congressman Killed By Train In Louisville
The cause of death has not been determined for Ian Perlmutter, 35, who was struck while crossing a track June 16.

BOULDER, CO – The Boulder County Coroner on Monday identified the man killed by a train June 14 in Louisville as the nephew of U.S. Congressman Ed Perlmutter.
Ian Perlmutter, 35, of Louisville, was killed by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train traveling northbound through downtown Louisville around 3 a.m. near Front and Caledonia streets. The coroner had not ruled on the cause and manner of his death.
Ian Perlmutter, who lived in Louisville, is the son of the congressman's brother.

Ed Perlmutter, a Democrat from Arvada has represented Colorado's 7th Congressional District for 12 years.
"This is a very sad situation," Perlmutter posted on Twitter Wednesday. "My family and I are deeply grateful for all your thoughts and prayers. As a family, we have decided to handle this as a private matter and appreciate your support."

Family members were confused and wanted to find out more about the circumstances of Ian Perlmutter's death, his half-brother Aaron Perlmutter told the Boulder Daily Camera.
Aaron described his brother as having a "rock-star personality." He said Ian liked to party and that the coroner's office told the family the man had "alcohol receipts in his pocket at the time of his death," staff writer Mitchell Byars reported.
