• Colorado business owners concerned as Arvada considers downtown parking fees, city says it will help business (cbsnews.com) — Arvada officials are weighing a new plan to start charging for some street parking in and around Olde Town, a change many local shop and café owners fear could drive customers away. The city argues paid parking would boost turnover, fund management, and reinvestment projects, while free spaces would remain at the Olde Town Hub garage. Council will discuss the proposal this week.

• 9 suspects arrested, 1 at large in connection with hundreds of violent Denver crimes (denvergazette.com) — A major multi-agency investigation into violent crime across the Denver metro area has tied hundreds of shootings, robberies, and burglaries to a group operating in at least ten jurisdictions, including Arvada.
