Westminster Home Healthcare Company Shutting Its Doors
At least 67 people will lose their jobs in May when Westminster's Colorado CovenantCare at Home closes its doors.

WESTMINSTER, CO -- A notice filed Mar. 8 with the Colorado Dept. of Labor and Employment said a medicare-certified home-care provider will close its doors in May, laying off dozens of people.
About 67 people will lose their jobs by May 17 when Colorado CovenantCare at Home facility closes, the company said.
Spokesman Randy Eilts told the Denver Post competition was too fierce.

“We have been providing home health, hospice, physical therapy and rehabilitation services in the Denver metro for the last 10 years. However, with the saturated competitive market of Home Care providers in this region and the uncertainty with reimbursement rates, remaining viable as a business has become very challenging,” Eilts said in a statement.
A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice, filed with the state’s Labor Department said the facility is at 9101 Harlan St.

The company is a branch of Skokie-Illinois based Covenant Retirement. A Westminster retirement facility at 9153 Yarrow St. will not close, the Denver Post said.
