• Residents of Cavern Springs under contract to buy their mobile home park (aspenjournalism.org) — Basalt is indirectly tied to big housing news as Cavern Springs mobile home residents move toward buying their park, while Basalt declined to help fund the deal. The resident cooperative has raised $11.1 million so far, seeks $1.9 million more before October, and aims to keep long-term housing costs affordable for about 300 low- and moderate-income neighbors in the valley.
