All Boulder County Facilities Close Amid Coronavirus Concerns

All Boulder County facilities are closed for business until April 20, officials said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — All Boulder County facilities will close until April 20, officials announced Monday. Gov. Jared Polis ordered a general shutdown of public spaces in the state amid the spread of the new coronavirus.

"This is an incredibly difficult time for all of us, but we are fortunate to be part of a resilient community," Boulder County Administrator Jana Petersen said in a statement. "Though this situation is hard, and may get harder still, it’s important for all of us to remember that every individual action can save the lives of neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers: Practice social distancing, wash your hands frequently, take care of your mental and physical health, and find ways to stay connected virtually. We will get through this, together."

Except for emergency response, only services that can be delivered electronically or by mail or phone will be available for the next 30 days in Boulder County. This includes motor vehicle registration, recording and taxation services.
