Captured On Video: Man Robs Wells Fargo Bank In Boulder

Boulder police said the man allegedly showed a gun, grabbed sacks of cash and threw them into a white SUV, riding off on a bike.

BOULDER, CO – Boulder police have plenty of video footage of a man who allegedly robbed a local bank Wednesday, and they're hoping someone recognizes him. The incident happened around noon at Wells Fargo Bank, 1420 Canyon Blvd.

Police say a man demanded money from a teller and displayed a gun in his waistband.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20’s with a slim build and bleached yellow spiky hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing glasses and all black clothing.

The man left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said he ran eastbound from the bank to 15th Street near a liquor store and "tossed bank bags into open window of a white SUV," then made off on a "stashed" bicycle at the scene.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Kurt Foster at 303-441-4329. Anonymous tipsters may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips may also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
