Colorado Colleges Hold Classes Remotely Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
The University of Colorado, Colorado State University, University of Denver and other schools in the state are moving classes online.
Universities across Colorado are moving their classes online amid concerns over the spread of the new coronavirus. All campuses will remain open, but universities are encouraging employees to work remotely whenever possible.
When Colorado universities are transitioning their classes online:
*Note: All universities said they will extend the end dates as needed

- University of Colorado - Boulder: Monday through end of semester
- University of Colorado - Denver: March 30 through rest of semester
- University of Colorado - Colorado Springs: March 30 through April 13
- University of Denver: March 17 through at least April 10
- Colorado School of Mines: March 30 through end of semester
- Colorado State University: March 25 until April 10
- Metropolitan State University of Denver: March 30 through rest of semester
- University of Northern Colorado: March 23 through April 6
- Fort Lewis College: March 25 through April 6

Campus facilities, such as student health centers, dorms, libraries and recreation centers, will remain open at all universities in the state.

"I thank you in advance for all that you have done and will do, and I ask that we show care and compassion for each other as we confront the challenges that COVID-19 poses in our community," read a letter to students and staff by CU Boulder Chancellor Philip DeStefano. "We will get through this together."
Gov. Jared Polis declared a state of emergency Tuesday and announced the state's plan for combating the virus.
