CU Boulder Class Of 2020 To Be Honored In Virtual Ceremony
The university is hosting the first all-virtual commencement ceremony in its 144-year history.
BOULDER, CO — The University of Colorado Boulder will host a virtual commencement ceremony Saturday to honor thousands of graduate and undergraduate degree candidates. The university is among many schools around the country that are hosting ceremonies online amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Dan Carlin, host of the podcast "Hardcore History," will be the commencement speaker, the university said. The ceremony will also include remarks from CU Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano and Chad Brokaw, the senior class president.

The event will usher in a new class of CU Boulder alumni with a "few fun twists," university officials said. A virtual choir performance of the "Alma Mater" has been organized by the College of Music, and the ceremony will include video vignettes from graduating seniors.
Spring 2020 graduates are also invited to return to campus in spring 2021 to be uniquely recognized in cap and gown, the university said.
