CU Boulder Students Win Elevate Your Pitch Competition

Two Colorado students won a national business competition.

BOULDER, CO — Two students from the University of Colorado Boulder have won a national elevator pitch business competition. The students pitched The Supply Machine, a pop-up style vending machine for design materials.

Joey Sandoval and Ethan Herrold were awarded first place in the Elevate Your Pitch competition, hosted by the American Institute of Architecture Students and Schindler Elevator Corporation.

The competition encourages students to present their business ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win recognition and one of three cash prizes. Sandoval and Herrold won $2,500 for their pitch.

From video submissions, a jury selected the top three entries to compete in the finals at the AIAS Grassroots Leadership Conference July 18 to 21.

The jury consisted of representatives from Schindler Elevator Corporation and the final placement of the finalists was selected by their peers during the conference.
