MLK Day In Boulder 2020: Rally And March Route, Schedule

A march in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will begin in Boulder at 2 p.m.

BOULDER, CO — For several days, community members have gathered at events to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. in Boulder; however the official rally and march in his honor will be held Monday.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Rally and March was originally scheduled to begin at St. Johns Church; however it will now begin at the Boulder County Commissioners building, 1325 Pearl St., at 2 p.m., according to the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center.

The rally and march will finish at 4 p.m. at The Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut Street.

Lectures, discussions and performances have been held in churches, libraries and arts centers in Boulder over the past few days in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Many of the events are sponsored by the City of Boulder Human Relations Commission and the Boulder Arts Commission.

Monday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut Street.
A theater work featuring autobiographical monologues by formerly incarcerated community members. This event is hosted by Motus Theater.

2020 Martin Luther King Day Talent Showcase of Boulder
Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Avalon Ballroom, 6185 Arapahoe Road.
This is a talent show featuring local singers, dancers, and music groups. One performance is a presentation of one of Martin Luther King’s speeches designed to extend insight into his life and dream. This event is hosted by the Boulder Speakers Bureau.
