National Weather Service Issues Freeze Warning For Front Range
Temperatures could reach 26 degrees in some parts of metro Denver and Boulder, weather officials warned.
The National Weather Service issued another winter weather alert Tuesday morning as temperatures plummet in northern Colorado. A freeze warning will be in effect from 6 p.m. Tuesday evening until 12 p.m. Wednesday, officials announced.
"Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing," the alert read.
"Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing."
